Japan’s Ganguro Look Goes West!

BBC World Service, London now tells us that Britain’s naturally pasty-skinned teens are somewhat ironically jumping on this “rebellious fashion statement”. Gabby, a manba follower, says “We’re Western girls trying to be Japanese girls, trying to be Western – it seems like a funny circle to go around.”
Take a look at this video. After smearing their faces with coffee-bean powder and framing their eyes with white and black eye liner and false eyelashes, they gather round and practice the Para-Para. There really are no words…
