Japan’s Ganguro Look Goes West!

Remember this?  Picture 6“Ganguro is an alternative fashion trend of blond or orange hair and tanned skin among young Japanese women that peaked in popularity around the year 2000, but remains evident today.”

BBC World Service, London now tells us that Britain’s naturally pasty-skinned teens are somewhat ironically jumping on this “rebellious fashion statement”.   Gabby, a manba follower, says “We’re Western girls trying to be Japanese girls, trying to be Western – it seems like a funny circle to go around.”

Take a look at this video.  After smearing their faces with coffee-bean powder and framing their eyes with white and black eye liner and false eyelashes, they gather round and practice the Para-Para.   There really are no words…Picture 7

    Rondell don’t need no tan because she blacker than the sweetest blackberry on the tree already! Anything else and you’d spoil this beautiful product of nature, LOL
